Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International to Honor Allianz Partners USA with Pair of Prestigious Adrian Awards for Outstanding Travel Marketing

Company’s “Pay-cation” Trend Also Claims Exclusive New President’s Award Designation for Both Winning Entries

Richmond, Virginia, February 6, 2024 –  Allianz Partners USA will be recognized for travel marketing excellence by the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International ( HSMAI) at the annual Adrian Awards Celebration at the New York Marriott Marquis on February 13, 2024.

Allianz Partners USA will receive two Silver President’s Adrian Awards for its winning entries in a pair of Public Relations/Communications categories. The travel insurance and assistance company’s new “pay-cation” trend is honored in the Feature Placement Online or Print Consumer Media category for its “Media Shine Spotlight on Allianz’s New ‘Pay-cation’ Travel Trend” entry. The company also claimed silver in the Feature Placement Online or Print Trade Media category with its “New ‘Pay-cation’ Term earns Dividends for Allianz with Solid Media Coverage” entry. Both silver awards also received the exclusive new President’s Award designation for scoring the highest within their budget range.

The company’s "pay-cation" term was developed during analysis of its 15th Annual Vacation Confidence Index results in 2023. The term defines the new work-from-a-vacation-destination travel trend that has become a favorite among young American workers thanks to the flexible remote work policies developed during the pandemic.

“Pay-cations are a new trend and are reflective of a sea change within the travel landscape,” says Daniel Durazo, director of external communications at Allianz Partners USA. “By analyzing and providing industry data that resonates with travel consumer and trade media, we deliver added value for our brand and are honored to be recognized for our efforts with these HSMAI Awards.”

The Adrian Awards, now in their 67th year, are the largest and most prestigious competition in global travel marketing. For 2023, Adrian Awards are being presented in advertising, digital, PR/communications, and integrated campaign categories, as well as Trending categories for Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG).

This year’s event theme, WanderLOVE, highlights the stories of remarkable ads, campaigns, and experiences that sparked a love for travel, igniting a desire for exploration among travelers worldwide.

“The Adrian Awards celebrate the innovation and ingenuity that fuel our success and recognize the marketing leaders whose extraordinary efforts literally ‘open the doors’ to exploration and excitement,” said Robert A. Gilbert, CHME, CHBA, president and CEO of HSMAI. “Their work inspired the world to get out and create memories through travel, and HSMAI is proud to honor them.”

The Adrian Awards Celebration is a must-attend industry event that annually attracts leading hospitality, travel, and tourism marketing executives and their agencies. Winning entries will be viewable in the winners’ gallery on the Adrian Awards website following the February 13 celebration.
